racedriver grid audio HI guys, I am trying to play RaceDriver Grid on my PC, on startup of the game it closes down "exe error" but I have found out that if I disable all of the sound devices it works perfectly, apart from the lack of sound :S, I have tried several soundcards and still no luck.

The TOCA Touring Car saga was considered one of the best simulators on the market when it later became Race Driver, they decided to introduce the story mode in which the player had to live the life of a driver, deciding what to do, and in its latest installment, Race Driver Grid, the saga leaves aside part of the simulation to gain in simplicity and improve its playability. Exciting car racing game Speed is guaranteed with more than forty brilliantly represented cars, that belong to some of the most important car manufacturers in the world, including BMW, Porsche, and Mustang. All the cars that are recreated have been modeled down to the slightest detail and suffer damage due to collisions as they would in real life, so if you spend your time bouncing off the wall you will have problems controlling your car. The most important innovation is the new Grid challenges, street races just like those included in Need for Speed in which we'll gain reputation and notoriety, which is very important if we want to be able to form a good team. Całość pod wieloma względami nawiązuje do takich gier jak chociażby Project Gotham Racing, czy Forza Motorsport. Opisywany produkt do zaoferowania ma trzy zasadnicze rodzaje zabawy. Decydując się na wyścigi rozgrywane w Stanach Zjednoczonych można przede wszystkim liczyć na ściganie się ulicami największych amerykańskich metropolii, takich jak Waszyngton, Detroit czy San Francisco. Do wygrywania zawodów używa się natomiast zaopatrzonych w potężne silniki V8 muscle-carów, między innymi Chevroleta Corvette, Dodge’a Challengera, Forda Mustanga, Plymoutha Barracudę czy Dodge’a Vipera. Imprezy organizowane na Starym Kontynencie obfitują w wyścigi rozgrywane na profesjonalnie przygotowanych do tego celu torach. Są to między innymi tak znane obiekty jak Donington Park, Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps czy Nurburgring. Jeśli zaś chodzi o pojazdy, są to auta tak znanych i cenionych marek jak Aston Martin, TVR, Audi czy Koenigsegg. Ostatnią grupę formują wyścigi rozgrywane w Japonii. W miarę swoich postępów kupuje się nowe pojazdy, a także odblokowuje kolejne turnieje. Gra charakteryzuje się zbliżonym modelem jazdy do poprzednich odsłon cyklu Race Driver. Wymagane jest więc perfekcyjne opanowanie rajdowej maszyny, gdyż tylko to może zapewnić ostateczne zwycięstwo. Z myślą o początkujących graczach przygotowano jednak wiele ułatwień, pomagających między innymi w pokonywaniu zakrętów. Gra zawiera ponadto mechanizm tzw. „flashbacków”, dzięki którym możliwe staje się cofanie w czasu celem zniwelowania popełnionych błędów. GRID oferuje wyjątkowo realistyczny model uszkodzeń. Dotyczy to zarówno niewielkich stłuczek jak i potężnych kraks, które mogą doprowadzić do natychmiastowego zakończenia wyścigu. Kolejne uderzenia w negatywny sposób odbijają się na osiągach prowadzonej przez siebie maszyny. Let me start by saying I am not trying to call Racedriver Grid a sim by any stretch. But I remember having fun with it on the 360 back in the day and this problem is really annoying me, and I can't find anywhere else to I finish a race there is no replay option. I love watching the AI spin out and cause collisions from the replay camera, or a cool drift or whatever. But when I finish, all I see is "continue" or "restart race".Has anyone had this issue before? Running an up to date steam versionAlso flashback replays seem abnormally short but I could just be misremembering how long they should :) Ja3d.
